View Full Version : Thoughts From BETA Play

I'll just share a few things, I usually play with a group, and these are general comments for all of us.

The grenade and seeker throwing arm action is a little odd.Seems very unnatural (a kind of side arm action) from the last game.

When starting to revive another player they stop crawling no matter where they are. This mean as you are being revived you may not be in cover when you get up.

Sound was an issue. Turret outside DZ door was stuck on, guns would either make no sound or burst fire. NPC's sometimes were silent.

Shock from NPC's with shock baton is just crazy. While we didn't time it, it seems like about 10 seconds? Might be a little over the top.

Ammo lacks for specialty weapons. At least a little more would be helpful.

But for the good stuff, in all we enjoyed the game. The DZ was a very enjoyable experience in comparison to D1 and seems well thought out. The missions were challenging. NPC's flank early on (you don't have that until later missions in D1). The end game mission seemed about as a legendary D1. Gear drops were plentiful enough. The DZ loot was good. We were able to pick up several pieces of purple gear.

As any BETA there's lots of bugs to work out. We think this one will be as good if not better than the original game.
