Catching Flak from the Wife I mean. I'm just curious if you all can hear your wifes' sighs as your playing IL-2 lol. Sometimes I'm afraid to leave my PC at home by itself, defenseless against my wife's fury and hatred for my precious PC lol.

My wife just sighs anyway - did it well before Il2 came along... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

In fact Il2 and a pair of headphones are a great way to drown out the sighing http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Mine's okay about it and the other week she said "Lavochkin." Man, I was like Gomez Addams when Morticia starts speaking French. I caught her looking at my Jagdwaffe book the other day too. My main concern is that she'll want to start playing IL2 and eat into my flying time. Now that would be a worry.

As for the sighs, Simons advice is good, put the headphones on and you can't hear them. Or alternately, look through the TV guide, and find some awful chick flik and say "Did you know .... (insert title of drivel) is on?" and when her eyes light up, tell her you wouldn't watch it if you were paid, that there's ice cream in the freezer and somebody's got to stop the Luftwaffe.

Are you kidding? Most of us have just had to develope a thick skin....... My wife has taken up beading... making jewelery and stuff..... I have been a rabid simmer for 4 years now and since I got IL2 it went through the roof.... after FB it went through the startosphere... now she looks at it almost like its my second er uhhh third job. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I just decided that she is going to complain anyway..... and it will get even more intense once a month... so I might as well just do what I have to do and do wht I want to do and make sure I take the time to let her know she s special still. Even if she isnt USB compatible.

It's a bit of a killer alright. Still, we all have our crosses to bear.

i've been playing the IL2 since it came out.

i developed a quite large lump on my right hand ring finger due to overexcessive use of my TM pro flight ctrl.

my GF hated the IL2. we had some serious relationship issues cuz she couldnt study while i was playing.

after 4 active years of flying i deleted everything and put my stick on the shelf.
im better off being with out it for some time due to the fact that it ate almost all of my free time and left me fighting a simm addiction.

I am now IL2 free since january 2005.
i take great refuge in these forums thoughhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

also my relationship has improved a bit since then cuz all of the sudden i got all this dang free time on mehttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
