View Full Version : Game crashes even after file verification and reinstall

I am having trouble with launching the Anno 1800 beta release game. It crashes at startup. I have already tried to verify the files which found some corrupt files on the first try of the verification process. I proceeded to run the game afterwards and discovered that it still crashes. I then proceeded to run it as an administrator and it still continued to crash. I have also tried to reinstall the game but it still continues to crash at startup.

I have tried to edit the engine.ini file with the configurations shown in this thread:
https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1986367-Game-crashes-on-startup-Ryzen-2600-1070Ti?p=13912396&viewfull=1&fbclid=IwAR0PZE7A6V3FRx7cB5syJfMggnQmy5pbhea2bE_uQ f07JLBVioUMCEjwzl8#post13912396

The only difference that I have made to this configuration was to change the resolution to 1280x1024. After all this I am starting to think that my computer might not be able to handle this game and I was wondering if anyone agrees. The specs are listed below:

Intel q6600 processor
ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB VRAM
8 GB ddr2 RAM
OS Windows 7 64 bit

I would like to thank you all for any assistance in advance.
Have a nice day.

Hi Husky5505! I checked your CPU against the minimum requirements (https://support.ubi.com/en-GB/faqs/000040424/System-requirements-for-the-Anno-1800-Closed-Beta/) for the closed beta, and your CPU does not quite meet the minimum requirements. I apologize for any inconvenience.
The most I can suggest in this situation are these PC steps (https://support.ubi.com/en-us/faqs/000025947) to see if it may help. Otherwise, your PC ultimately doesn't meet the requirements.

thank you for your reply. Even though my system does not meet minimum requirements, it seems that it somehow started working after I have installed the latest update for Anno 1800.
