View Full Version : (suggestion) consuming onboard cannons give increased firepower

If a combat ship has weapons on board it should have improved firepower.
However when fireing these weapons should slowly be consumed.

This creates more eco within the war concept of anno wich suits an economic game.

If this would be in the game, an option to turn it off would also be nice.
It would be cool to determine yourself how well armed you make your trader fleet without immidiatly adding escort ships.

Which is in my opinion hardly realistic. A ship has only limited space for cannons, as it needs holes in the hull or on deck for that and also manpower and ropes to secure cannons in place etc etc.
Just having additional cannons stored in the ship doesn't mean they would be of any use in battle.

It would be more the idea of having more powerfull ammunition.
And apart from that many trader ships did have room for more cannons but did not use this room so they could transport more goods.
Just like it could work in the game. However perhaps a max of 1 good slot is good enough.
