Hlo!
the fact that i havent done a single image for more than two months scarred me yesterday so i done this one ( after a few tries with photo/sim composites.. poor qualityhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif ) :

Great work! Did you compose it from different pictures? You got the lighting perfectly set, then. Two thumbs up: http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I'm not sure about the size of the pilot. It's probably alright, but there's something about him. Anyway, brilliant image.

The original painting is called "Home Run" by Robert Taylor. It originally showed Mustangs of the 361stFg being lead by "Lou IV".

Thats very nicely done by the way.

awesome composition , so looks the part

just one thing - only sticks out to me in the hi-res version - the earth behind the messerschmitt could look a little more "plowed"

but very good result you have here Jura

I think it is fantastic. Could u say in step to step how to do a composite like this one? Im really interested. I think the german pilot standing there is bloody great. Gives the picture so much personality.

well it would be a bit tricky to write it whole cuz it took me around 6-8 hours (not pure time)..
but ill try to write the basic steps:

i had to find the background 1st and imagine the composition, than draw a simple pic to help with capturing screenshots.. than kick up all setting on videocard, start the sim and do appropriate shots, than cut off the planes and put them onto background. Than comes the hardest work.. blending em into background, using filters, color curves, noise etc.. than adding shadows and shiny spots and tweekin planes (cuz i mainly want early spits on my pics and had to make em from seafires (cuz of skins)), than play with details, play with details, play with details, play with details, play with details.. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
