What exactly is included in the day 1 patch of the physical version? More
importantly what is missing from
the cartridge?

The Day One Patch includes bug fixes and improvements for the game. The total size of this update is 6 GB on Nintendo Switch.

At this time there is no information that we are able to share in regards to the details of what is included in this update.
