View Full Version : How to save game data to a USB drive on an Xbox One

I do not own nor will I ever own a Xbox product.
This information was gleaned from searching the internet and are NOT direct, implied or approved instruction from Ubisoft.
I canít veryfy the process, or guarantee itís succes, but it is very similar to the process used for on the PS4.

With any manipulation of data on a hard drive there is a chance of altering key files that may change the system and how it functions.
Only proceed with the below steps after you have read and understand all the steps and understand their purpose.

First ensure the System is turned on and a USB drive is inserted into its relative USB port.
Go to the Xbox Home section of your Xbox.

Navigate through the menus until you find the Settings menu.

Select the option titled System.

From here you should see another option titled Storage, select this option.

There should now be a drop down list of storage devices currently connected to your Xbox One as well as the Xbox One's actual hard drive.

For the purpose of transferring game data from your Xbox One to a USB drive you will be copying data from the Xbox One hard drive.

Choose the type of data you want to copy from the list available.

Select the data you want to copy.

If you want to copy more than one file at a time then click the option titled 'Copy or move multiple items using the transfer content option'.

Select the storage device (the USB drive) that you are transferring the data to
Note the exact location on the hard drive where the file you are copying resides.
Exit out of menus.

To copy from the USB to the hard drive, select the USB drive rather than the hard drive initially. Then in step 9 select the hard drive
