Got yanked out of my cushy desk job to do another patrol and was given command of the illustrious U-47. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

First patrol out of Lorient in 1940, in atrocious weather and spent a few nights shadow-boxing in the mist. Ships aplenty, even ran into a task force of 1 Nelson and 2 Revenge class BB's. With only 1 torp forward and 1 aft, managed to intercept, turn and snap shoot the rear torp, fast at 20m keel depth at the Nelson as they went whooshing past at 22 knots and hit the fuel bunker. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Not too shabby for a 1st patrol back at sea, 127770 tons. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

I finally meet my first task force and was only a bogue carrier. which went to the bottom. Nice kill though. Have not seen any BB in carreers. Play a single player mission every so often just to get a shot at one. Makes me feel better.

I've been itching to lay eyes on one of those. Many a battleship has been victim to my torpedoes, as well as cruisers and a couple of fleet carriers, but darn it, not yet a Bogue.

I bagged a Bogue a while back and posted the photos...

...I did come across three 'Nelson' class battleships (Nelson, Rodney and the Alfred E. Newman! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif) and my topedo salvo missed...

...so I guess you and I are opposites in that respect

I went through a period of computus interuptus while I built my new PC and SH3 was one of the 1st games to be re-installed. I wasn't expecting another 100k tonner, I really just played this mission to see how SH3 looked and felt on steriods at max graphics settings. Very pretty and silky smooth. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
