I remember reading something about the progress of the JU-88 cockpit on IL-2 central but since that's been hacked, we won't really know for a while. It's such a shame too because the JU-88 was really a significant player in nearly all theatres of the Air War for the LW and instead we're getting planes like the Zero which saw very little service in the Eastern Theatre! Don't get me wrong because it's a fantastic plane but we really need more Luftwaffe planes first. Am I the only one who wants a Storch???? Honestly!

Whoa! "Very little?" You mean there were actually instances of Japanese Zeros being flown in the European Theatre?

No, I want the Storch too. I'm sure exactly why but it would be real cool to hop around and land in small villages.

Wilkesdog and MackZ: Storch? Great idea, then I can land on those 'carrier' strips EVERY TIME.

I thought the Ju88 cockpit was up and running in development. No? I've been looking forward to that for ages. Curse the misplaced energy put into developing irrelevant Japanese models!

I weep bitter tears.

Hell yeah! I'd trade five 109 variants and a Russian rocket plane for a Fi-156.

I think Xanty is the one doing the Ju-88. We get 2 or 3 versions of it. Hopefully one is a night fighter version, but I look forward to it even if there isn't one. It is nearing completion I think but I don't really know.

At the start of WW2 the German army lacked experienced anti-aircraft gunners. The average gunner was so bad that the USSR decided to help them out. They did it by forcing some of their pilots to fly I-153 flak magnets. These planes were slow but very sturdy. This allowed German anti-aircraft gunners to get a large amount of target practice on a relatively small number of planes. Thanks to the Soviets help, by the end of the war the German anti-aircraft gunners were amoung the best in the world.

"The Eyeties are comparatively easy to shoot down. Oh, they're brave enough. In fact, I think the Eyeties have more courage than the Germans, but their tactics aren't so good. They are very good gliders, but they try to do clever acrobatics and looping. But they will stick it even if things are going against them, where as the Jerries will run." Beurling in Malta Spitfire

Correct. Jippo and Dietger are doing the external and cockpit models. Dietger is doing the cockpit textures, and I'm doing the external textures.
We are all working on it at the moment.

And just to add to that, I've been bit stuck with the external model for a while so cockpit has had no development.

Also I have been moving from one house to the next for the summer, so it has been really busy lately.

If you promise to wait nicely and patiently, I promise we will try to crankout even more variants than have been previously mentioned! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
