View Full Version : Resolution looks terribly jagged on 1080 GTX @1440p

I played AC Origins at 1440p max settings got 60 fps and it looked crisp and clean. I recently played Shadow of War and the new Tomb Raider and they both looked amazing at 1440p.

This game looks terrible at 1440p for me for some reason. 1440p looks like 1080p and 4k looks like 1440p but even then its very jaggy like the anti aliasing is completely broken. The resolution modifier is set at 100% and I watch other people streaming with the same settings and their picture looks crisp and clean. I can turn up the resolution modifier and it makes it look more smooth and crisp but then my fps takes a dive and the game becomes unplayable.

I played with the settings for hours and I just can't get it to look like AC Origins or what other streamers are playing with out losing tons of fps. Two different screens they both look jaggy af at 1440p, even 4k you notice it. 1080p you can't even see your characters face well at all because of all the jaggy lines. I have 3 displays and my newest is a 2018 Samsung QLED and all other games look amazing on it but this one. The game looks the same on all three displays, it's almost like there is some kind of old movie grain screen setting turned on somewhere.

Anyone else have this problem or know a way to fix it?

I read over Reddit that you have to turn off MFAA in the Nvidia Control Panel.

Wow Thank you Resuri08 that indeed fixed the problem I was having!

The game looks amazing now like Origins and I got extra fps cause I don't need to use the resolution modifier anymore.

You are amazing! cheers!

This solution doesn't solve the problem for me...
TRying now to reinstall the game. Hope that works fine after that...
