I just made a new IAS vs TAS chart. It'll handle altitudes up to 30k feet with measurements in both Imperial and SI. It also contains calculators in order to get precise numbers (like 678 mph at 28k feet instead of 675 mph at 39k feet). It's ready and just needs people to host it.

Send to max.mhz <at> gmail.com

URL will be
http://members.home.nl/maxmhz/IAS/<name>

decide on the <name> yourself http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I'll be happy to mirror it - submit it to www.airwarfare.com (http://www.airwarfare.com) too?

p.s. I dont have a bandwidth limit - so I could host it as a click-and-read http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif instead of a right-click-and-download http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif 273kbyte isn't a problem http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Would be a 0.25 second or less download - if you have the bandwidth http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif - do put your name in though... wouldn't want credit for something I didn't make...

Thanks dude http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

however, for using this table with the B-25 bombsight, you should substract about 10% of the TAS. It is a weird bug but, if you just feed the TAS into the sight, the bombs will fall short of the target everytime. A correction of 10% seems to do the job. I don't know if this is also the case with the He-111 and TB-3 sight.

Platypus - did you try that with this chart or with one of the others...

Kweenie maar...

Also did you try it on a sea level target? If it's not sea level, you have to adjust your altitude down by the ground elevation.

Oh boy yeah sea level lol didn't even think about that...

Oh and CSL (is that ok?) try making a ref to it using
<URL=http etc the link >Whatyawannecall it </URL>

substitute < and > by [ and ] http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
You'd get something like the two links in my sig http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif - weird thing is I only see one now haha - while in the help forum I do see two lol... UBI.

YEAH http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif that's it... CSL
Most people won't even bother to check URL and think it's yours - it is - http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif so it's better http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Yes, CSL is fine. I woulda done that if I'd thought about it. Done now. Check you're e-mail MaxMhz.

If anyone does find errors, I will correct them so it'd be no big deal if Platypus_1.JaVA is right on that. I just really need to know if it's really a bug, if it's limited to one particular ac or all, and a couple of sample correct/incorrect type things. I'd verify the b-25 one myself but I have no clue how to use those bomb sights. I'm just not a bomber dude. I guess I'll try and take a crash course though. It can't hurt.

Well, I've read that this is b-25 only. What I'll do for the b-25 players out there is make another couple of tables and a calculator as a workaround. If this is in error, please let me know.
