it seems like everyone in this forum (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/5251069024/m/9751001498) seems to want another game starring our favorite rooftop runner, Ezio. I'm all for this, but don't you guys want another time and setting? I remember how excited I was when I first heard that ACII was going to be in renaissance Italy and I want that thrill again. I can't be the only one, right?

I definitely wouldn't mind another character, not one bit, but all the signs look like the next AC will at least involve Ezio. That said, we know that in 2012 AC3 is gonna be released, and whenever they change the number after the words "Assassins Creed" they change the character. Patience is a virtue, you will receive your wish http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

ezio's over used, plus i think he's too old to do anything now.
maybe he can have a cameo like altair did in AC2.

Another time and setting would be cool, but Ezio is my favorite character in Assassins Creed so it will be hard to let him go

I agree, it's time for another character in another time setting.
Let Ezio R.I.P. but have something like Altair's codex to let us now what happened to Ezio.

It will be hard to let him go, but I think it is time for a change. Indeed, he's actually getting old and he doesn't want to break his back while free running. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

I agree. Ezio is one of my favorite game characters. Maybe he will be there for someone like his Uncle Mario was for him. Teaching, training.

I'm BORED of Ezio! He's too old now! His real climax was running around Venice in his old beautiful suit, diving into beautiful blue canals and throwing beautiful white smoke bombs (not these disgusting grimy black ones). That was the good ol' days.

Now I want a new hero.

What I want is:

--> 50% is Desmond, who explores Venice and Jerusalem
--> 50% is a French ancestor who explores Paris

You could have connectivity between the two time-periods. For example, performing missions in the animus gains you "skill synch points". These can then be spent to upgrade Desmond's assassin skills in the present (ie the bleeding effect allows him to improve his skills). There would be three skill archetypes:

Combat: Upgrade your countering/dodging skill, your attack speed, or your damage per attack.
Free-running: Upgrade your speed, your climbing speed, or your jump distance.
Stealth: Upgrade your Subtlety (notoriety gained per action), Stealthiness (size of crowd required to blend -- initially six or more; by the end is just two or more), or the time it takes for guards to notice you.

50/50 is a bit too much IMO. I thought they got it just right in Brotherhood between Desmond and Ezio... maybe have slightly more Desmond time though seeing as his role is becoming more major instead of being trapped inside a room in abstergo?

SPOILERS (Of course, if the end of Brotherhood is anything to go by then he may well be trapped in a room again, you don't want to be letting the mad guy run around freely do you?)

You're not alone. I'm not entirely sure if I would buy another game with Ezio in it. I'd prefer a new ancestor, or no ancestor at all.

^ so verily this.

As I have said many times before "one man can only do so much in his life". Ezio's done more than most already. It would be just a bit crazy for him to have another game when he's 47+
