Tonight at 7pm gmt the Spice Girls knocked at my door, dressed for an evening of pole-dancing and asked for my fifteen year old son by name. I was so gobsmacked I could just about mutter "Er..what do you want him for?"

Luckily my wife appeared as the giggling started and invited them in. Whereupon I was informed that they were nice girls from my sons class at school and were all going to a youth club disco.

'Kin 'ell! they're fifteen too?'

'Shut up you old fool.'

'Yes dear.'

Whereupon sonny Jim enters, wearing one of my shirts, 'really retro, Dad, nice one.'

And they were off.

Well I guess he's on his way.........

I don't know if your son plays sports or performs in a theater club or something, but you certainly have something to bond over now...

You must be so proud. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

You're lucky, you have a lad. I dread the day my daughter start dressing up for the Spice Girls pole-dancing thingy.

When I was 15 we were too busy hunting buffalo and fighting Indians to notice girls.

The only time My dad ever seriously apologized to me was when I was around 13-14 years old. I hated school, and consequently was not too enthusiastic about homework. My dad made me sit at the kitchen table where he could keep an eye on me to make sure I did the homework.

The phone rang a little later, and I answered it. It was a girl from school whom I was interested in, and she said that she was calling to see how I was doing. While we were yakking away, my father started to yell at me to get off the phone. I said bye, and hung up the phone. My dad asked me who it was, and I explained that it was a girl from school.

Right then, his whole demeanor changed. He apologized, and asked me why the he!! didn't I tell him it was a girl. He said that he thought it was one of my buddies who usually called. He told me he was truly sorry, to drop the homework, and to call that girl back right away! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

<--- 35 in a college town

On a warm day in spring or early fall I feel like a lecher driving through the center of town. So many college girls jogging, and laying on lawns and roofs sunbathing. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

Ah, sunbathers. Years ago I used to fly into an airport where there was a hospital right under the approach end of the runway. It had a big flat roof...guess where the nurses went to work on their tans? No tan lines either. It was pretty funny to watch aircraft on short final dip a wing on sunny days. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
