I'm thinking about getting a FF stick but was wondering what kind of forces are felt. Is it just vibration and guns, or are the effects of G forces and trimming felt through the stick. I have trouble with the trimming. It would be nice to have a positive foce to push against.

You can feel different kinds of "vibrations" from
- gun recoil
- wind turbulence
- hits on your airframe (from your own rear gunner as well http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif)
- stall warning turbulence
- turbulence from forgotten gear or flaps.

The "centering spring" effect provides a constant stick centering force proportional with the speed of your airplane. At low speeds, the stick is easy to move around, at higher speeds it becomes stiff.

I am not sure about the effect of trimming, I would rather trim by instruments, not the force feedback effect.
