View Full Version : Phalanx formation

I'm not the expert on historical accuracy, but I think the Greeks were quite known for their phalanx formations - probably even when fighting with a group of 10. The large shield was developed to form a shield wall, not for quick defensive movements in man to man combat. Is there a reason why we don't see the phalanx formation in Odyssey? It would be a shame for such a nice game in an awesome historical setting to miss this opportunity. It could for example show the more psychological feeling of standing in a tight formation with the row in front of you being slaughtered etc.

Thanks in advance!
