Ivan,

The sound is better. I refuse to whine about negatives anymore. I have to test it much more. My biggest concern was stutters.

3D gamers gave it to me at 120 kb/s /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif . Anyways, not much different from 1.1b. Just a few bug fixes and very minor additions. The He-111's lack of mixture control and the half dozen stuka bugs were fixed. So in the stuka's you can now drop bombs in pairs again and the ability to set pull out altitude was also fixed. Me 262 AI crashing on takeoff all the time is supposed to be fixed but I havn't checked it yet. Most everything else seems the same. Sound bugs may have been fixed but I havn't played it enough to be sure.

At the start of WW2 the German army lacked experienced anti-aircraft gunners. The average gunner was so bad that the USSR decided to help them out. They did it by forcing some of their pilots to fly I-153 flak magnets. These planes were slow but very sturdy. This allowed German anti-aircraft gunners to get a large amount of target practice on a relatively small number of planes. Thanks to the Soviets help, by the end of the war the German anti-aircraft gunners were amoung the best in the world.</center>

P-47 rollrate is awesome!

Me-262 is still gravely underpowered. Acceleration seems a little better, energy retention better but still needs works IMO.

P-47 1 shot engine kill problem still there. I guess we get to live (and probabaly die) with that one.............

back to testing...........................................

Me-262, can it keep 480kmh in turn, or is still down to 340kmh?

Hmm, have you tried rolling it yet? It seems faster to me.

LOL, just tested K4 and he is right, no rudder on it. Hopefully they fix that TODAY and create a small mini-patch to fix that.

Sigh! Looks like we are all going to need a numbered directory for all the patches. Not a whine, er, I don't think. LOL I am happy that there is ongoing development, and I am sure that this is a bug and not intentional. Otherwise, what are those two pedals in the cockpit floor?

The patch improved the game for me. Perfect mode runs...er...perfectly. Also, noticable improvements to sound.

Rollrate on the 262 wasn't the problem.
Energy retention is.
She DOES seem to spool up to higher speeds more quickly now, (and the upper envelope of those speeds is greater->500Kts) but any out-of-plane maneuvers quickly bleed off what little E you have. Very quickly. Acceleration is better but not enough to make up for the contradictory behavior of the E-bleed. Sleekest fighter of WWII and it butts throught the air like a second hand matress.
This is the aircraft that Rall stated made you feel "like angels were pushing".
In FB it's more like Sanford & Son are pushing.

I don't know what the aerodynamic co-efficient is for the 262 but I'll bet 2 months pay it was superior the Brewster Buffalo's. Yet the Brewster retains E much better, IMHO.

Dissappointed, and NO, more "testing" won't make it go faster. If you have criticism of my criticism try to be more original than that.

Did I mention there was a glue spill at the furniture factory and the K4's rudder is stuck?
