You connect people to a server further away. I avg 25ms to the server close by. I avg 50ms to the next server. Why do I have to play with my 50ms plus others ping that is 80ms is beyond me. Please expand skill and prestige prior to region. I shouldn’t have to play with increased latency bc there are no players at the same skill level.

To calculate the latency for the match you add your ping plus theirs. In a majority of online games 150-200 latency is considered the intended experience. above 200 and that's where stuff is actually bad.

agree. do they try to match players with similar latency? how does this work? does the lower latency player get screwed if they fight a higher one?

Knight... 150-200ms latency on For Honor is not acceptable. Missing 200ms of a 400ms attack animation is not acceptable.

The avg total latency is between 50-100ms. If it’s 100ms then 400ms attacks come in at 300ms. Throw in TV input and it puts it into the high 200s. Throw in guard switch delay and you can only stand there and eat lights. At least the lag comp will give us back 33ms.

To eat lights a bit slower, yeah! :D
For sure now on PC lag comps didn't do anything. And, for some reason game expirience now worse, than it was before patch.

LAN pings are mostly ~5ms. 10ms more for an Online connection is very good. I mostly have between 15-25ms to the Frankfurt server.
