Unfortunately for the German Army shortly after this photo was taken both the prototype Hoppinmotorabitcyclen were destryed and the projects leading engineer drowned when they inadvertently hopped into the river. (Poor Doktor Schwimmer couldn't it seems )
The diagrams for his even more promising Hoppinvagon & Hoppinpanzer were in his coat pocket at the time of the accident & the Weremacht was left unprepared for the Russina Rasputa (they have fancy words for mud in the old communist black apparently....)
