OK, I have a really wild theory here....

I thougt that maybe Desmond would become 'synchronized' with Altair, coz at the end of AC1, Desmond has a few of Altairs abilities, so maybe in AC2 he's become so synchronized with him,he is a voice in Desmonds head.

So even if Altair's not there in person, when we play Desmond we would hear Altair speaking to Desmond in his head.
( Like the Dark Prince in Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones..)

Tell me what u think.

Ergh... Yeah... No thank you.

The reason Desmond gets Eagle Vision is because of the Bleeding Effect, which is identity confusion, not multiple identities. Animus subjects can spend enough time viewing their ancestors' memories that those memories "bleed" into their own, and the subjects confuse themselves with their ancestors. And that's not the same as having two consciences.

For this same reason I assume he gets mixed up when talking to Lucy about the guys in the Animus talking "like they're from the future... I mean the present."

If Altair talked inside of Desmond's head, that would mean he's still alive in spirit form, but he's not. Altair died, and the only thing that lives on is his memories.

And memories can't talk to you. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

lol, it's easy to miss in the game, so that's understandable. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Plus, it's not as silly as the suggestions that Altair join Desmond in the present time by traveling through the Animus, and fighting side by side with him. There have been quite a few crazy threads about that. XD

I can understand peoples' misunderstandings, though. The Animus is an easily confusing concept, and some explanations of it are vague while others are completely absent.

All the Animus really is, is a big T.V. That lets you watch or "live" your ancestors memories lol
NOthing more,
BUT. Maybe one of the Artifacts could back up your theory http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I didn't know about the bleeding effect. Must've not been paying attention, but the part where he says future instead of present makes much more sense now! Can't believe I didn't notice that. Thanks for sharing http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

I think in a report from Lucy about Subject Sixteen. So it's very understandable that the Bleeding Effect isn't widely known.

I checked the computers too D:. I must've skimmed over it. I don't feel as thorough anymore http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif.

Has no one brought this up?

What Assassin's Creed 1 will link with AC2?

"Bloodlines".
Y'know the PSP game that is coming out, the plot will cover how Altair and Ezio are connected.

Desmond, the main character. He's reliving another of his ancestor's memories in an attempt to help out with something. Not entirely sure what exactly the something is until we play the game, but most likely something to do with the Pieces of Eden.

I know that.
XD

I was answering the question in the rest of my post.
It was rhetorical in the way of that I answered it right after.
