Season 5 nerfed parry which was a very good thing.

Naturally that made other forms of defense comparatively better.

A bunch of assassin's have been running the tables so to speak and I think a big part of this is Dodge having noeaningful interaction with being out of stamina.

Assassin's who mess up and run out of stamina backdodge repeatedly until their stamina replenishes, making any mindful assassin almost impossible to punish.

I play alot of assassin's, and I think they overall suffer for it, as being unable to be punished makes them need to be downtuned.

This gameplay of unpunishable mistakes can be extremely frustrating.

make Dodge when out of stamina move a shorter distance, or have a longer recovery time.

I definitely feel that you should be able to dodge while out of stamina but not be able to dance around untouchably. Limiting that exhausted mobility helps control one of the most frustrating gameplay patterns left in the game

The devs have said that there is a universal back dodge change in the works.

I mean I applaud you for the suggestion.
I think you're the first person i've seen make that suggestion besides myself.
I don't think their dodge distance/recovery is a big deal when not OOS.
but that's just me.

I agree with OP. Dodge has been slightly too powerful for a while. It started with chip damage, which mainly affected heroes who don't have dodge attacks or have bad dodge recovery.
