My computers native resolution is 1600x1200 but my game wont play on that res, wont even start with it(changed it in config) so i play it on 1280x1024 or whatever that number is, when i go to 1024x760? my frame rates are 70+ but not as clear obviously, my question is does the guns hit much harder with more fps, because i blow things up now compared to before when i just damaged them, think i should play online with this res or go up for better clarity, its not that bad on the 1024 res at all just not as sharp. Also could you read my other post from today(tully please help thread)jessi1 and give me some help with my joystick, thanks all

You're not hitting harder, just more accurately prolly. With the increased FPS things are prolly not so jerky, so you can more easily keep your sights on the enemy. That would be my guess.

BTW, I may be wrong, but I believe the game is optimised for 1024x768 res.

I am convinced that real high fps means better game play. many people state that anything more than 72 fps is a waste of time because the average human cannot see flicker beyond 72 fps.

a plane moving at 360 mph covers 528 feet per second.

25 frames per second......the plane traves 21.12 feet per frame
50 frames per second......10.56 feet per frame
100 frames per second......5.28 feet per frame
150 frames per second......3.52 feet per frame

get the idea? I believe the lower your fps the greater the chances are that you will miss because the target moves farther per frame

on the other side of the coin anything below 72 fps and the average human eye begins to notice a flicker. so you need atleast 75 fps if you wish to have fluid movement while playing a game. If you disagree with this take a look at this article.
