Hi,

If you whant a more realitic FM then try this:

I hope we will get a similar FM in BoB. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I've got to say this is, by far, the best troll attempt I have ever seen. And all without any political or religious references! My hat goes off to you.

But seriously, thanks for pointing that out. I'll give it a spin.

It says it's free online, I think.

Just tried it offline myself.

It is free and it has an outstanding flight model. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
There, if you have altitude on the other guy he's pritty much dead meat. There's no BS hang in the prop at 50km/h and shoot.

There energy advantage is life. You have the altitude and know your game you decide if the poor soul below you dies or goes home.

The same goes for diving. Few days ago I was in F-4U1 A and three Zeroes got on my six.
When I rolled that bad mutha in a dive I let them standing. No, not what you have to do in here (long shallow dive).

On the bad side, there's very few people playing, and graphics are nothing like in this game.

But I like it. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

If you are in flight simulators and are up for a challenge, you should try it. You won't lose nothing. Even if you only want to try the flight models.

I wanted to try the P-38 but my joystick won't work with it.

I just looked at the Zero cockpit demo and a bunch of screens.

It would also be an insult to my BFG 7900 GTX SLI setup to render such cr@p......

Troll? Why?

I am serious and maybe Oleg would see what is possible in FM modeling.

This is by fare the best simulation from the realisme point of view.

I agree that TargetWare's FM feels more real then IL2's. And the grafics have improved quite a bit since the last time I checked it out. I still consider IL2 far better as a whole package, but it's always nice to see what else is out there.

TW is in Beta. I wouldn't compare it to a complete game. Try TW vs. BoB. But maybe that's not fair either since BoB will almost surely beat TW to market. Maybe it's best to try TW vs. WWII online or Aces High, because it's a MMO. Or maybe just MO since 'Massive' is a bit optimistic.

I will admit that TW has an excellent dynamic FM, but the lack of AI or any substantial offline content is a large black mark. Couple that w/ it's small community and the game becomes severely limited. I think TW is a good game . But it's fallen into every open-source pit-fall imaginable.

1: it's too expansive. Features come faster than core functionality. Maybe they should finish one target before they select another.

2: it's not n00b-friendly. By the time you learn how to set up the game and install the modules, your qualified to code.

3: it's languished in beta so long, core functionality is obsolete. No AI, No carrier ops, No modern graphics features (even as an option).

4: Supposing it ever was finished; it would be next to miraculous to expect the community to grow after the switch to payware. How would the game be advertised? TargetWare is next to a secret right now. I would guess that most ppl who are not already involved in flight sims already would never hear about it. It's probably not a good business model to try and shave market share from what is already a small group of consumers where brand loyalty is high.
