I had to move and I went from my old Cable internet at my old place to DSL at my new place, which is the fastest they have in my new area!!!! It's only 500Kbps up and down!! At least it's syncronous though..... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/disagree.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif

I had a hug, and a cookie for you, but I think it's timed out over my 54.6Kbps line.

Yeah...... I had to revert to 56k for a few days due to some probs... it's a bad thing to have such connection..... but truth to be told I spend too much time on net as it is, so......... that actually drew me back a bit from net which was a good thing http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

mortoma BTW...... have you checked the DCG?
What is your opinion of it?
I have "found" it quite lately few months ago, and started to play more about month ago..... it's an improvement over DGen. And not a small one. IMHO http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

DCG is ok but I just don't like the clunky interface. I love to edit Dgen and mess with it. DCG is ok if you have a monster machine but in my case I'd have to limit the ground vehicles and other aspects of it because I have a low end machine. So it would in fact not much better than Dgen for me. Also, I prefer Dgen for the same reason many hate it. Because Dgen is not truly dynamic and won't let the Germans win the war and weird stuff that DCG is good at. In DCG, the Germans or Japanese can win battles/campaigns they didn't win and even the entire war. I don't like that. Besides, if I switched to DCG, all the years of learning about
Dgen would then be a waste!!!

That's true.
But.... just I have crappy machine (todays norm) 3.2 Athlon 1GiG ram.... just.... DCG works just as good as DGen.
OK ETO can be really good with DGen, but PTo is criminal.
It is possible to get same scramble mission for the nth time.... and if one isn't really good with DGen edit.... well frustrations.

Over the time I got good with Dgen... but still... perhaps I just got fed up with it, so now I'm in DCG wagon http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Wow, we ae practically IM'ing on this forum. I had just got done with that last post and you replied to it.

Yea, PTO is not so hot but I don't play it that much anyway. And I really don't mind scramble missions all the time. In some PTO campaigns, that is actually historically realistic!! Believe it or not. The really bad campaign for Dgen is Singapore. That is a waste of time!! I unrealistically moved the Brewster and Hurricane campaigns to New Guinea campaign!! Even though the Dutch and such never flew there. I found Singapore a nice map but an unplayable campaign.

Hurri gets over-range missions all the time there!
I had top crash crash land several times being short of fuel... and not by a small margin http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif
So I eventually just take off and land if I get those missions. To bad, it's only a 30 missions career (RAF Hurri Singapore).

Singapore is good if you play only east coast there are few airfields close there, so that can work out good.... until someone captures enemy airfield.... then we're at point zero again http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

I'm currently playing DCG Finnish G.50 campaign.... and I just smiled after one mission when I-16s eventually got me but I bailed out.... in debrief said how Lt.Sukachev shot down finnish ace DKoor....
