The game constandly crashes after Windows Update installed Patch KB4056892 to fix the Spectre and Meltdown bugs on the 4th of January.
It ran fine before and put almost 27 hours in the game in since Christmass, but now it randomly crashes after a short time, somtimes i dont even get past the main menu, other times i can play for a few minutes.

Tried to uninstall the KB4056892 Patch, took a bit longer than till it crashed, but it wouldnt have been a solution as Windows update reinstalls the Patch as soon as you restart the system again.

Tried Reinstalling the game, Reinstalling the Videocard drivers even went to older ones and used DDU, Reinstalled Realtek Audio drivers, but non of these things helped.

Seems i am not the only one as other people are reporting problems with this game and other games and aplications also.
Think Microsoft did not properly test the patch, and i geuss there the ones that are gonna have to fix it.

My System:
AMD FX-8350 Processor
AMD 990FX Motherboard Chipset
AMD RX-270X 2GB Videocard
8GB DDR3-1866Mhz (2x4GB)
Sasung 850 Evo 250GB SSD (Windows)
Toshiba 3TB HDD (Games etc.)
Windows 10 Home NL 64 bit

All Latest Drivers.
Done clean install together with Processor and SSD upgrade just 2 weeks ago because the game (wich i got as a gift and bought the season pass for my self) wouldn't launch with my old AMD Phenom II 965 Black Edition because of SSE4.1

I am wondering how many other people are having problems after Micorsoft released the Patch.

I Disabled Cool & Quiet in the Bios and that seems to have fixed it... still dont understand why it didnt give any problems before the MS Patch.

I see other people with games and aplications crashing and hanging reporting the same thing online, but in most cases someone says that it cant have anything to do with it, while others are convinced its the problem.

Going to make a report of this to Suport with the requested files.

I just noticed that Microsoft has stopped the Spectre Meltdown Patch for AMD Systems: https://www.theverge.com/2018/1/9/16867068/microsoft-meltdown-spectre-security-updates-amd-pcs-issues
What sucks is the patch doesnt seem to fully uninstall.

Guess i wil wait with my report to suport till i try removing them all.

Non of the above helped...

Disabling ErP in the Bios seemed to have fixed it, so instead of the whole computer powering down now power remains on the USB ports etc.

No clue why that seems to have solved it other than that i got a Corsair HX750i power suply with Corsair Link that works trough a USB port on the mainboard so you can monitor your powersuple and system trough it and alter the powersuply settings.

Also no idea how the Spectre/Meltdown patch would affect it though, really problems only started after the system booted back up wen it installed the patch.

Everything else is set back to normal (qool & quiet back on etc. etc.)
