On my machine it's called "conf.ini"

(Just in case you didn't find a "config" file.)

Thanks, it turns out on mine it's just "conf" but it does not give me the option to change AA settings nor the ability to activate the V1.
I have AEP installed. Any further suggestions welcomed.

Much of this game is hard coded. At times it's frustrating but in the end it means you don't have 3rd party modders making "uber" everything. All of us have the same game so how well you do is all about your aqquired skill level. As for your questions....

No, you can't change the AA settings. I'm assuming here that you mean anti-aircraft not anti-aliasing. There has been much ado about the leathality and accuracy of AAA and AI gunners. It's gotten a bit better with AEP but they're still tough.

Do you not have V-1's? Certain methods of upgrading to AEP left some computers without them. Look in your "bldconf.ini" file (should be right next to the "conf.ini" file). Do you have this line?:

If not, cut and paste this line and add it between "(builder.PlMisStatic,sectFile=.....)" and "(builder.PlMisHouse,sectFile=.....)"
Now you have the V-1.
However if you mean why don't they spawn....make sure your launcher is on level ground. Concrete Airport pads are best.
If you mean they show up but don't fly....it usually takes 2 minutes from spawn to takeoff. If you are using the FMB make sure you give the V-1 a 2 minute timeout or else it won't work properly.
You cannot access the V-1 in the QMB unforunately.

Hope this helps.

Thank you again. The V1 is currently not showing on my list to choose from. I will try your method this evening.

Tim, open your file folder, at the top select

tools>folder options> view> then about ten boxes down is 'hide extensions for known file types'

Make sure this box is un'chek'ed and it will help you properly ID the file.

I just had a wingman turn into teeth, hair and eyeballs...I KNOW there's a sommab*tch around here that I gotta kill

Many thanks folks, the V1 is alive and well and up and running. Cinfig.ini now shows.
Tis a happy little vegemite I am.
