I have a computer just sitting. It's pretty old, Pentium II, but has comparatively big RAM size - 512 MB. It even runs AEP will lowerst resolution and all settings minimised. So now we have dedicated server for AEP, and I can set up a sercer on my 1.5 mbs cable.

The question is there room for another server? I hosted the game the other day with settings close to full real, but I was the only player on it.

There are some threads from WarClouds guys about necessary donations to keep server running. This is not an issue for me, because cable is a fixed cost for me and it would'n change wheather I will run the server or not and the other computer is just sitting without work.

The WarClouds server is a different beastie alltogether - its a dedicated server payed for by the community - hence the donations... Worth every penny too IMHO.

PII and a 1.5Mb/s ? I dont think you'll be able to host for more than 4 players http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Its the Upload that counts, which is far less than the download speed. And you will probably have more than one computer on that connection using the internet which will intervene too...

But hey - give it a try http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Games are allways welcome http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I thought that dedicated server doesn't require to much processing power. Thenks for opening my eyes. And computer goes into dumpster. Does anybody need 512 MB of PC100 memory and 60 Gb HD?
