Oleg....WOW,I salute you and bow to you at same time http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif

I just checked the new il2C against the old 1.2 version and Oleg has changed the russian planes dramatically!!

The 109's remain pretty much unchanged in climb, the 190's have been cut maye 1 to 3 m/s tops....and the Russian planes have been neutered http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

here are some stats but I advise you all to check all yourself.

Russian changes http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif
La7........30 to 23m/s
La5........24 to 18m/s
I-153M......22 to 19.5m/s
I-16Type18..23 to 20m/s
I-16Type24..24.5 to 20.5m/s

German changes http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/88.gif

109's,seem to be pretty much the same with little improvemnts like graph going straight up for awhile instead of lift dropping as soon as you takeoff.

190's have been neutered slightly
FW-A4.....20 to 17m/s
FW-A5.....21 to 19m/s
FW-A9.....26 to 23m/s

It looks like we hhave the planes looking pretty dam good right now. This is the most realistic I have ever seen this sim and Im loving it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/88.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/88.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/88.gif

What about sustained turn rates of 190s and P-47s?

Wow! The La's climb got hacked. Please save this for the next time someone accuses Oleg of bias. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Wow your a tough bunch to please http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/crazy.gif

It says 23m/s at 0alt and by 2000m your at 19m/sYou need to take this into account also.Anyway I just wondered why nobody mentions how the K4 is unrealistically too good.It seems as everyone here is anti-Oleg biased http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/52.gif

I think the K4 has an overmodelled climb rate. I've thought so for a long time and it's one of the reasons I don't like to fly it.

I Take your word on that.I dont really know much but what I read from you guys here. The way to check it is to see what it gets to 3000m since it should be 2.5 minutes.

Just now I had a mission in my 109E7Z against some early migs and I beat them using the tactics I read about here. That is to spiral climb at low altitudes since the mig is a dog at climb down low.Even a 1940 IL2 can outclimb it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gifBefore these changes I could not do that since the mig was 7m/s faster in climb down low and matched the 109.Even chaykas are beaten by spiral climbing http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifI was starting to hate those buggers!!

J8A outclimbs P11c.

I~16 outclimbs J8A.

I~153 outclimbs I~16.

CR.42 outclimbs I~153.

By both "Compare" and my own 110% power blast tests by about the same amounts. And I activated supercharger at 2km and didn't forget the Mix. Both Russian planes get very sluggish above ~5km...am Happy with that. CR.42 totally wastes J8A above 5km but cannot compete in turning at lower altitudes...am Happy with that so far but the thing seems like a real Rocket.

For IL-2 Compare try here (http://sturmovik.webzdarma.cz/download/utility/il2c_v23.zip)

IL2C uses data from the FB Flight Model. Although it may not match precicely it is a very good match and a good place to start if you don't have the time to do the testing yourself.
