I was reading that Hitler used to use the Condor for Transport? This would make for a cool hunt Hitler mission

Shame we don't have a Bomber to hunt Yamamoto

A Hunt Hitler mission you did, and people did go crazy.

So lets hunt him down in his FW200 between the eagles nest and some unknown destination. Or you can escort him if you like.

Atmosphere shall be added by Mountains and Bunkers, dark forests and night wind + bad weather.

JU-52 would do the work also... Hitler came with one of those to Finland for Mannerheim's birthday. Don't remember the year, think it was -42 (75th. birthday), during WW2 anyway...

Anyone know what the official Hitler bird looked like. we may need a skin.

Was he conspicuous or not. Or did he have many doubles and a big escort

I have an even better idea: Escort him if you like and once enroute go heroic and shoot the hell out of his Condor. Then run away from your buddies, only to get downed by some Spitfire coming along while on your route to England lol, how's that? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif.

sound like a good plot for a movie.
I could not live with shooting down the crew without offering them a way out though.
If I was undercover then so be it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

WHat is it with a conscience? I do not feel bad killing if on the other side (at least in a game)

What's the matter? Are you kids all tired of playing UT2003/QuakeIII? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/mockface.gif

clint-ruin's thread was delegated for good reason. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/59.gif

BTW I don't think any of you guys are intelligent enough to use the Full Mission Builder that ships with this game.

Don't worry about the FW200's crew; they magically transport themselves to a higher plane of existence on the way down...

(FW200 crews don't bail out - they just vanish)

This was Hitler's Condor (natural metal finish):
http://server5.uploadit.org/files/Minusmonas-condor.JPG

William Green says: "In 1938 two FW200s were delivered to the RLM for evaluation and were subsequently used as staff transports. The first of these, the FW200V3 (D-2600)- subsequently named 'Immelmann III'- was modified for use as the official Fuhrermaschine, and the second was used to transport members of Hitler's staff. The Fuhrer's personal pilot, Hans Baur, spent several weeks at Focke Wulf's Bremen factory familiarising himself with the special Condor, the interior appointments of which had been given special thought. The apartment normally occupied by Hitler featured a large armour- plated seat placed over an escape hatch and incorporating a parachute pack."

So in practice it would always have flown with another Condor carrying Hitler's retinue.
-----------------

Eric Brown says in 'Wings of the Luftwaffe' that this next machine (white uppersurfaces, blue undersurfaces, yellow tailband):
http://server5.uploadit.org/files/Minusmonas-condor1.JPG

..."was the former personal transport of the notorious SS leader Heinrich Himmler and later kept for the private use of Grand Admiral Karl Doenitz. This aircraft (unlike Hitler's) was fully armed and embodied some very special features. It could carry 11 pasengers and in the forward compartment intended to be used by Himmler and, later, Doenitz, featured an armour- plated forward facing seat, a hinged armour plate screen for protection from beam attacks and a jettisonable escape hatch in the floor in front of the seat, so that in dire emergency the occupant of the seat would have some chance of escaping by parachute. Six passengers could be accommodated in the aft compartment, both compartments being finished in highly polished light wood panelling."

Brown flew this aircraft several times after the war and recalled shooting down Condors over the Atlantic whilst flying a Martlet (Wildcat) from the escort carrier HMS Audacity. He preferred head- on attacks as the best way to shoot them down.

There were Ju52's that were a part of his group, but Adolf himself flew in a Fw-200. Now that would be some mission, considering that this group was escorted by about 30 Luftwaffe fighters all the way to Tallinn, and by FAF Brewsters (Led by I. Juutilainen) from there.

akatoha WTF??? Care to explain yourself...

Thanks to all wo provided some real information. I think the Condor mission would be Brilliant fun. I don't mind escorting or doing the shooting.
Its just cool fun - that is unless some idiot prefers to make it political. Hitler mayaswell be Stalin or any other leader.
