Nice!

I've always wanted one of those and a few years ago my wife bought me one. It was in my car when it was broken into and stolen. I haven't replaced it since.

What a great idea for a thread!

I have an A2 that was slashed while I was at college (oh if I find out who...), that I had "fixed", and one year, I went as a Fighter Pilot for Hallowe'en...I had my old A2 (I replaced it with a new one), on which I had painted a Hell's Angel- 3rd Squadron AVG, of course. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I named her "China Doll". I also had a flask full of whisky and I told the most absurd tall tales all night http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

It's not quite as good as the two above, but I was looking for a more 'in the field' type of jacket art...now I must take a pic and post it!

Very nice work, Flak!

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

I'll see about borrowing the digital camera from dad tomorrow.

I know what you mean about nerve wracking- my model was a 1/48th scale model airplane's squadron art http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif Lucky for me it was a relatively simple design

What kind of paint is used for that? There's a pretty good source here in San Diego for reasonably priced leather flight jackets, and I was looking for an excuse to retire my old G-2 (USN) jacket. The artwork is (probably) still in my skill set...

cheers
