I think Poymando had put something together to take the Teuton out of the Japanese voices.
Anyone know if it is available to the masses?

Cheers!

Oops!! Very sorry! Didn't mean to mix me monnikers. Credit where credit is due.

Actually, I think I made a similar error in replying to another thread. Please accept my apologies and thankyou for your work to date.

Going to go count the moments to a Jap-speech pack now.

WARNING!!!!

Anyone who actually speaks Japanese might be better off NOT using my speech-pack.

I have sadi before that although the voices are Japanes and they're related to combat-flight, I haven't got a clue what they're saying. All I've done is tried to match the tone of voice to the situation, so when your wingman is being attacked he might be screaming "I've got one!" for all I know.

It sounds great to me, but I don't speak any Japanese...

Not to worry. My Japanese is pretty basic. As long as my wingman dosent ask to order a number 23 special fried rice I'm sure it will be okay.

BTW have you considered checking your local video store for subtitled, non-english dubbed Japanese anime? Titles such as Cowboy Bebop and Neon Genesis Evangelion (Yeah, I know. The names sound funny...) would probably yield any number of bits worth sampling and the subtitles would help give an indication of what could go where.

Just don't develop an overnight obsession for Japanese anime and give up on FB!

Take a squizz at this too. I alnost died.

What i would love is for english versions of russian and german messages, but with proper accents.... Now that would be great !!

Yep, an English Accented Russian and German Voice Pack would be beautiful. At the mo, in my Russian Campaign I`ve got English Speech with Russian general comms in the background. It works well, you can understand the immediate English, but the background Russian gives the feeling you`re listening to it all in Russian.

Many thank to all the talented chaps producing these packs- they`re very much appreciated.

actually, the absence of 'would-be german (russian,...)' English is one of very positive things in IL-2/FB. Hats off to 1C that they dared to do it like this.

I don't get it. Most of you guys are screaming for utmost realism and then you want a russian/german/etc.. pilot to speak ENGLISH?

Just don't get it...

You want to have full real? Learn Russian!!! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

So, drapis, you`re seriously saying that in order to make FB more immersive should go and actually LEARN Russian? And maybe German too?

Well, while I`m at it, I may as well learn to fly aircraft too, then find a bunch of other guys who can fly aircraft. After that we`ll fit hispano, etc guns to our plane nose and wings, then we`ll try to shoot eachother down for real over airspace exclusively bought with cash we saved up!! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/crazy.gif

More real to me would be not having the need to see "captions" on the top of my screen to know what my wingman is saying. In the meantime, i'll learn German i guess...
