Frame rates in Black Death are up for me nearly 8 fps and much more smooth. Let me say this is in PERFECT mode, 4x FSAA, 2x Anisio, vertical sync ON. OGL (obviously) 1024x768 (rr=72). Minimum is 15 FPS in Black Death when the two aircraft collide. Max is over my refresh rate (pegged at 72 for a moment).

PERFECT mode is functional with the Omega 4.7a (CAT 3.6). I am very tempted to go back to the CAT 3.4's to see if there is even more performance.

Sound settings are 32 channels at 44K
Black Death framrate average (in game counter) is now 26 min=15 and max = refresh rate. Vertical sync ON.

This is a significant improvement in the graphics engine, the bump in frame rate is equal or greater than turning off the sound entirely.

happy...now to go try that JUG out.

For everything their is a appointed time, and their is a time for every purpose under heaven. A time to be born, and time to die. A time to laugh, and a time to weep. A time for peace, and now it is a time for War.

I am using Cat 3.6. I could fly on perfect but FPS was kind of slow (average 24) but much better than before the patch. I just don't want to go to the trouble of uninstalling drivers and reinstalling older drivers.

I did get a couple of strange graphically artifacts (black lines) but they only lasted for a fraction of a second (didn't see these in beta 8).

Since I had to go back to work I could only check things out during a few QMB. I am still crashing and burning in the jug versus 190s.

You have to give Oleg and crew credit for updating FB. Much better support than anyone else in the business. Time for me to go back to flying campaigns.
