Yeah, ubi-**** said something about the percentage of units doesn't matter. Only that weird random number that appears really big.

Having the most assets doesn't make you the winner, having the most territories is what counts. Vikings were able to make best use of their troops because their early +10 lead at the start of the campaign (which looks like is happening again). That lead to a string of easier wins from being able to defend won territories and placing those assets aggressively. Knights only really started playing when the double xp weekend happened. But given the length of time per round, they weren't able to gain ground more than three times.

Placing so many troops so quickly is actually a waist of assets. Even though it makes it easier to defend, by the time the double xp weekend was coming to an end, the dead weight of faction hoppers from the last season (that undoubtedly jumped to knights) started to kick in again. The knights that remained active weren't able to carry that dead weight and so lost those territories, which in turn through away their troops. Having too many passive members is what costs factions the faction war every season, and this season doesn't look to be any different.

Football/soccer analogy, unless it comes to a tie with points, it doesn't matter if one team has a goal difference of 40 goals over a season and the other 35, what matters is how many points they have from the games and if the team with 35 goal difference has 80 points and the other has 79, that is the team that wins.

The small number in this analogy is goal difference, the big number is final tally of points.

Could make the same analogy with an election, Trump lost the popular vote but it's him in the white house because what matters is he got the states that mattered.

Having too many passive members is what costs factions the faction war every season, and this season doesn't look to be any different.

One thing the knights can take encouragement is, however close, they had the assets,it is a matter of putting them in the right places over a long enough period of time.

^ What Candle said. The amount of troops/assets is only used as a tie breaker in the event two, or all three, factions have the same amount of territories.

It's still so broken beyond belief.
Completely and utterly knackered.

Too many troops on the vultcano.

One of the people who play call for my discord group said exactly that on reddit, the fact that knights only had a 0.1% asset advantage means that when most of the go to the volcano there are less to go around and those assets extra are wasted if the territory falls out of being contested.
