Provide detailed specifications of your laptop, i.e. CPU, GPU, RAM, SSD/HDD. Check the temperature, ACO loads the CPU very heavily and it might be overheating, which results in throttling.

GeForce GTX 1050 Ti

Intel(R) Core i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz

16 GB RAM

using windows 10

not sure what's ssd/hdd but the laptop doesnt seem to be over-heated

What is the volume of the solid state and hard disk drives?

How have you figured out that the laptop is not overheating?

Download one of these and check the CPU temperature when ACO is running:

so when then game is on it's around 70C got to a max of 88C

and when it's off it's around 60C

check it while I ran the performance tool in game (and it's an average of 5fps on very low graphic settings)

Sounds like game is using your iGPU rather than 1050Ti.

Your CPU is overheating, which leads to throttling and degraded performance.

The game might indeed be using integrated GPU. The temperature of 88C is not normal.

If you press F1 twice in game you'll see which GPU is being used at the bottom right of screen.

Make sure the game is set to use the 1050. Also install latest drivers.

Holy crap you are drastically overheating.

Get those temps down stat.

Idle temp should never go above 40c

load temp never above 80c

Hi there! I completely agree with the guys above (Thanks!). Your CPU temperature is extremely high, causing your system to overheat and drop frames. Please make sure you have the proper cooling system in your PC to help reduce the temperatures. Hope you can get that under control!
