Ok, in FB, in the IL2M Stalingrad campaign... Whenever I save replays in which there should be tanks, the tanks do not appear at all in the replays upon playback! If I killed a tank, it will still say that I destroyed a tank in the replay, but it shows me blowing up a patch of ground instead of a tank... How do I get tanks to appear in replays?

Furthermore, I was trying to practice divebombing the tanks with an IL2M. After watching the ground attack tutorial for this aircraft, I tried to replicate the dive bomb attack from between 1000 and 1500 meters. However, Whenever I try to "fly parallel to the target and line it up with the planes wing edge" I can never find the tanks I need to line up to begin with! They are either almost impossibly hard to see from even 1000 m, or I am just taking the wrong approach even if my minimap says I am flying close and parralel to the target... How do I dive bomb tanks I cannot see? Or how do I find the tanks and get them ligned up on my wing edge without messing up my dive approach?

I like to drop my bombs from below or around 100m with a 2 sec delay on my bombs. I usually come in either from a 45 degree dive or dive hard level off and drop bombs. It works for me.

Ok, thanks, but how do I spot the tanks in the first place in order to dive on them? If I let them go under my nose I can never dive exactly right, and if I line them up by my wing edge I can manage alright- except I can hardly ever find the target to line up in the first place!

And I still don't know what to do about tanks not appearing at all in my replays...

I think your either too high or trying to dive bomb when you dont need to. Try coming in at around 1000 mtrs and IDing your targets. If theres little or no AA you can make one low level pass to figure out your priority targets and then get back up to 1000 mtrs and line up for your bombing run. If 1000 is too high for you then try a lower alt like 250 or 500 and try a nice shallow dive. 20-30 degrees is usually good to start with, line up your target and put it right on your nose. It takes practice to know when to release your bombs but just keep practicing and find out what works best for you.

Don't worry about them not showing up in the track replays - I suspect that this is a function of the track replay mechanism being screwed up by the patch (and it's not just ground targets that are affected) - see the tech support forum for many threads about that particular problem and some potential workarounds (e.g., using the in-flight recorder method rather than waiting till the end of the flight to record/save the track)

Try zooming in your field of view with the delete key. It helps a bit, but they're still too hard to see.
