I was sitting around the other day playing il-2. I was doing some tricks and such and I thought of a good idea for a thread. Why don't we have a Dare thread? You could issue a challege something along the lines of "use the tb-3's landing gear to destroy another bomber." Then people attempt it. when they suceed they can post it on the forum. Whoever posts a successful track first wins the dare. Whoever won the previous time gets to issue a new dare and the it repeats. Just an idea. Tell me what you guys think. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Okay. I'll go first.
I dare you to fly a I-16 in between the tails of a Zweiling and stay there for as long as you can.
(yes it can be set to friendly)
It's fun! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I just tried it and man it was so hard. Everytime you get close the darn thing it wants to dive away.

You must be crafty...Wise like fox, quick like ninja.

Usually coming from underneath helps too.

In any case, it's not like you can really hang out in there and have tea. The AI naturally bobs up and down so the best you can hope for is a few seconds at best...

Just to prove that it can be done, here's a track of me playing around with a most likely highly alarmed Zweiling crew.

http://home.flash.net/~kooreya/zweiling.zip

I do screw up a couple of times, but I do manage to pull off one of my better moves, the "buttonhole". If you're wondering why I brought bombs with me.....I forgot I had them on in the loadout screen. *sigh* I thought she was handling a little heavy.. I'd like to think this is the reason for the less than delicate nature of my engine-off landing...

Anyway, enjoy. This is a great thread idea, BTW!

Later,
Ak

I've got another one for ya! Try to break the Zwilling in half by shooting at the middle engine. I've tried a hundred times, could'nt do it.

Try with a MK.108! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Or try this one: land on a TB-3 with a Gladiator.
I tried several timas, but it seems that as soon as you touch it with your wheels both airplanes explode... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif
