Map Name: MJ2 - Taken Hearts
Platform: PC
Game Mode: Extraction
Author: TheSlimReeper

You are a mountain man. You take a day long journey from your cabin, through the mountains to the closest town to stock up on supplies. Once you arrive, the town is ereely silent, and blood litters the streets.

Many of the towns residents seem to be dead or missing, and scavengers seem to be looting the town dry. Filled with rage, you grab a gun from the nearest house, and attempt to kill all those who feed on the misfortune of others. Determined to find survivors, you scout the town but only find corpses, gear and guns left behind by the towns residents.

As nighttime falls, you glance up to the mountains and sigh. A large looming castle catches your attention, as it casts a shadow over the village. The towns residents mentioned in the past that the castle has been abandoned for quite some time, but something tells you it is desolate no longer.

You gear up, and take some more weapons from the missing/dead villagers, The towns residents need them no longer, but if there are any of them left alive, they need you! Go and break free the remaining villagers from their chains, before they succumb to whatever lies within the ever so mysterious castle.......

Thanks to Alpha Sgt 14, Dapperhayden007 for tips and tricks.

Holy **** the castle looks sweet, the PC side is a hot bed for creativeness with that extra budget allowance, it's a shame some of the maps have to be separated to find a winner there are a lot that are really nice.

Looking forward to checking this out later.

Damn it's hard, I got into that castle and was just under 60m away from the extraction - Unsure how big the castle is inside or if it's more visual on the outside - Hard map but a few more plays it might get easier.

Tried to flank around quietly in the water and damn alligator got me - the place is evil:p

Hey champ. Yea, I did make it relatively hard, but I tried to make it fair and place the enemies accordingly. Enemies don't go anywhere I don't won't them to go.

However, each section of the map has hidden powerful weapons that makes it significantly easier if you look around for them. Also, the alligator is there to discourage you from flanking and go straight for the mission points, the mission points right next to the spawn is where you stock up on a few weapons and health packs/armor packs. And then the surrounding areas have better versions of weapons if you can find them. In other words, when you pick an obvious weapon on the ground in one of the major areas, there is probably a more powerful version of that lying around that area.

You are not meant to really stealth any of the map, I kind of want you to get caught in the general store or beginning shack while you collect some starting weapons in the town, and you have to hold up in a building to kill the enemies that run at you. That is why the way points are there and why I tried to encourage combat right from the get go. The third way point at the edge of the town is there for you to become aware that there are snipers blocking your path so you just can't rush through with no weapons and that you have a sniper right there to take care of that problem. There is also a better version of that sniper in the town as well. A better version of the Heavy guns, grenade launcher, Molotov cocktails, crossbow and other stuff hidden around the map to make it easier like I stated above.

There is around 8 total rooms in the castle. Entrance hall, bedroom, library bottom floor, library top floor, staircase room, 2 hallways, outside courtyard with the park our, rooftop boss fight, end tower, and outside visuals. The town has 6-7 buildings, 2 caves, for comparison.

Hope you can beat it though, if you think it is too hard, I should probably consider toning it down a little bit for future maps, bu only just a little bit. :D

I don't think it's too hard it was my 2nd go, Think I can beat it so will have a session on the maps when I get up in the morning, my wife is at work so it works good for me.

Amazing work on the castle slim!
From the village to the detailed rooms and hallways of that massive structure, you have found great ways to use the fc4 assets. I had the chance to play through this map over my lunch break and it was a blast.
