Can someone please explain to me what the ferry terminal is and why it's always full? Thanks.

The Ferry Terminal is the only part of the central D'ni city which is fully open right now. (And, actually, even that isn't entirely open. Several paths are barricaded.)

It's the only part of the game which is completely shared. Unlike your Relto (which is private), or the Neighborhood (where players are spread out over many Neighborhoods), everyone who goes to the Ferry Terminal appears in a common space.

Unfortunately, the Uru software still has severe scaling problems. More than twenty or thirty people in a space causes very bad slowdown for everybody. So Cyan is imposing a population limit on the Ferry Terminal. Only 30 players at a time. (If they didn't, there would be scores of people there, and it would be impossibly slow.)

Cyan is working on fixing the problems, so one day -- hopefully soon -- the population limit will be eased or eliminated.

Ferries used to come in but don't now.

There are two other terminals in Ae'Gura. Once you find them make sure you log them into your KI.

Oh, by the way, do you know that you titled the thread "fairy terminal"? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
