Are you kidding? Did you really suggest that TrackIR2 was a waste of money???????????????????????????????????????!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe it! Maybe there are people who don't find it suitable for some reason, like they can't move their head or something!

Seriously, if you aren't happy with TrackIR2, just let me ask if you have played around with the settings. It took me a while to get the sensitivity right, and it's an absolute God-send in dogfights. The ability to keep that bogey in sight is just awesome.

Not just that, but the natural style of viewing it allows is sooooooooooooooooooooooo immersive.

Of course you have to be careful not to go out with a big reflective dot on your forehead. Been there before!

Anyway, I hope you give it another chance. If not, someone else here would love to take it off your hands.

See ya,

Nutcase

Mate 3 to 4 days old and you have given up? You don't need to keep your head that still. Try my map and see if that's any better:

Try to make a reflective ball and stick it on the front of a baseball cap.
If not then sell it to someone who wants one don't put it in your cupboard.

And no I don't think you can use it as a receiver, it tracks the movement of reflected IR light and I doubt it could read IR data.

Even easier just put three of the big stickers on the middle edge of your baseball cap, works great and they dont fall off, dont forget enhanced mode, I can't imagine flying anymore w/o TIR2, worth every cent.

Did anyone see that or was it just me?

Ok so, I'll say it again, I guess you have missed my post obout TIR . Read my sig and on the second page of the TIR thread my last post I posted a link to the proudbirds forum. One of them guys made an real nice graphic explaining the advantage of the reflective ball. I wish I'd of had it back when I first started posting about the reflective ball, to of explained myself better.

Have you checked your Private Topics recently? (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=ugtpc&s=400102)

Dont give up - TIR is absolutely great, propably you just have wrong settings.

Make sure that conf.ini has
-TrackIR use=1
-Then run TrackIR in enhanced mode.
-Use the reflective dots in baseball cap or something similar to increase the movement of the dot.

You should get used to it in 10 flight hours
