Here's what I've noticed:

Perfect MODE WORKS AGAIN! With TI4600 and 53.03
Frame Rates SEEM BETTER!

Water=0 (0, 1, 2) for new water effects
I think this only works for Perfect mode, OpenGL, and it defaults to 1 on first exit.

Sound = seems better!
109-Z Kicks ***
Mistel = fun as hell
New keys = basically, I had to add one key "Y" to hook/unhook planes to the TB3. That's it!

I AM FRICKEN AMAZED here.

I was NOT expecting this.
Read the READ ME!!! It's very important.

Truly an awesome awesome add-on. Worth the price. Honestly? Worth TWICE the price.

I also hate the fact that it takes 2 weeks longer to get the game released in Europe.

I am really wondering why it takes 2 weeks longer anyway with today's transportation resources.

Ubisoft is based out of France. They have an operation in the States, too, from what I have seen on the web; still, I would think that as the site of the world headquarters that the EU would get first dibs on the first copies. :)

It`s weird, ironic and frustrating...

Made in europe, released in States first, then 2 weeks later, released in Europe.

It`s almost like 1940s thinking! :P

It looks like Ubi want's to ship the CD's to Europe as cheap as possible so they hired a few old roman gallions with free working rowers on them.

The only one who is going to get payed is the guy who beats the drums.

Who is willing to chip in some extra bonus for the drummer to beat his drum faster for the entire trip, shaving off a day or 2?

I say feed him to the sharks and lets invest in a drum machine (faster beat longer time).

Bloody hell, that's the third time now I've seen that shot linked from somewhere :>

Some clarification:

That shot is of a headon between a Bf110G2 and a group of B-17s. The 110G2 has its ordinary weapons, plus the "2xMG151/20 + 2xMK108" pods fitted. They're firing all at once, and that shot was taken at pretty much the brightest point in the muzzle flash sequence. It's not that bad all of the time, so you can put the sunglasses away :>

The one thing that _does_ look weird in the 110G2 is the interior lighting inside the cockpit when you fire. I'm not sure if it's just from my crappy Kyro2 card I'm using right now, but it's one of the most "yellow" flash sequences I've seen, and it flickers on and off very fast. It's somewhat annoying during long bursts.

Those shots I took look like complete crap compared to some of the "war story" ones I've seen, I was mainly just showing off the 110G2 cockpit coz someone asked.

Ok.

First of all, I am beat dead tired today! I was up very late.

Re: ME110.

Yes. I flew it. I didn't recognize it from all the screenshots we were getting surrouding the cockpit.

And the default skin kinda threw me for a bit. So, I need more time to confirm flying what I think I flew.

The game arrived in the US yesterday, and I'm surprised by the lack of fanfare or discussion; but maybe they wanted to avoid disappointments if it DIDN'T ship.

Here's some preliminary stuff:

Water on pacific map is WAY different at "water=1" setting. VERY dark, deep blue. And then changes to the coast. I haven't tried 2 yet.

That Mistel ground explosion is amazingly huge.

What do you want screenshots of? I'll do my best.

A little.

I didn't have time to take off in it, so I just fired up QMB on the Pacific Map (yes, you read that right) and started flying around with HVAR rockets.

It is a fun plane! Heavy and low altitude and speed likely due to my poor flying than anything.

Landing is kinda hard, or I was really tired. It really "ground effects"; meaning it wants to keep in the air instead of settle.

I chewed off both main wheels, and didn't ground loop or tip. The back winglets (?) stabilizers kept me from bending the prop.

Fun! Low vis out the sides, as expected.

Well, I'm at work right now, too.... So that would be difficult for me. :)

Oh! About the 110 again. I was confusing this in my tiredness with the Bf-109G-2. Sorry. The 110 is abso-great.

Haven't had time to fly the Bf-109G-2.

Some P38 remarks from my flying:

1) It loses quite a lot of E in vertical. Maybe it's because I'm new to that plane.
2) Usage of combat flaps in turns recommended
3) Landing like P63 - long approach and nose up attitude to land softly and right after nose wheel touches the ground, step on the brake or you'll be going up again :)
4) Very powerfull armament. I was able to make the Ki's explode even from a quick deflection pass.
5) Not very stable gun platform at low speeds
6) Over 600kmh IAS (at 3000m approx) the elevator is really tough
7) Not a great roller

... and Spitfire

1) Very stable gun platform
2) Quite fragile
3) The wheels deploy and retract asynchronously :)
4) Back and Forward view is not what you would want to write home about
5) Very balanced plane, performance wise

Overall:
1) AI gunners do not shoot in split-s anymore. They wait for a more stable situation. But they are still lethal.
2) Sound is much better.
3) So is the .ini activated perfect graphic.

And the negatives:
I forgot to sleep and eat.

I'd like to have some feedback about the Ta152 and the Go-229 if you flew em already.

I reckon the Horten must be quite ''unique'' to fly heh? ;)

Although I barely scratched the surface i am impressed. The Spits...especially the CW ones are SCHWEEET!!! The 262 with that howitzer in the front? Man o Man stay out of its way.... The Ta-152 is nice.. i only flew it once.... The 38 is nice too. i didnt takeoff andland in it..just flew around.. Im going to have to re do some of the commands on my sticks to reflect the new planes. The K-14 gunsight is interesting.. I can see a lot of people gettign knocked down with it. The Fiat is nice too.... there is so much in here it is GREAT I think.. Another homerun for 1C IMO. Now all I need is my BoE.....

Nobody in Europe felt bad when the original release of IL2 was weeks sooner there than in the US and Canada. So why say "the same old sh!t from UBI"?

You may find the real delay is from border squabbles or just slower methods used in Europe, perhaps to save money or not having things lined up before release efficiently. That is not from a decision to screw anyone.
Perhaps the US is being used as a test market like the way a lot of hardware from the US is released in Germany first or used to be when I was waiting on many things sometimes 2 months.

Don't be babies. People here who wanted things available first elsewhere go online and shop for them to be shipped here. It costs more but those who want and can pay get. At this time for me only the expensive store has it and only 4 copies for the area. In a few weeks the lower priced store will have it in stock and more copies. I will pay more to save those weeks or not get it because I did not pre-order like I should have. It is not like heaven here in the US.

It's too bad that the Ubi marketing strategy of supplying North America first (this time around) has to dominate the discussion. :(

On the Me-110 with 3.7 cannon, the shells don't go "straight" to where you are aiming (with the normal fall of the shell that it should have) but seem to go way way below where the gunsight is aiming. You cant even see them when you open fire with the cannon.
It like the cannon its aiming some degrees below fron where it should, making the use of the gunsight unuseful.

Si hay que huir, YO PRIMERO!!!

This cannon has no gunsight. Its against columns of cars, etc... Fly over and fire from low altitude. Need some experience of course.
Start fire before the targer will be covered by a nose of plane.

Thanks for clarifying the proper aiming technique required for the 110.

If people would read what others have already reported, and Oleg's responses, then we would probably have a lot fewer duplicate posts/threads.

The water kept defaulting to 1 on me too. I finally got it to stay at 2 by exiting the game and changing the config file and then restarting the game. Changing the config file while the game is running doesn't work.
