I've talked to a few people who agree with me that it would be very cool if you could have someone riding in the bombardier position in coops. Of course, switching to gunner positions would make the ride out/back more interesting.

I for one would find it very fun to be the bombardier on occasion while someone else flew the plane.

Just a thought.

Bombadier needs control of the plane to make the bomb run.
I dont think it would be possible for 2 online pilots to occupy the same "virtual" space need to fly the bomber, unless the pilot can jump out the pilot seat to gunner position whilst bombadier take over in the sight.
Two pilots on comms one flying the other guiding would be tricky due also as to be precise any amout of lag would induce a bad drop.

Good points. Though I don't think it'd be necessary for the bombardier to be in the pilot's seat...in RL they didn't...rudder control would be plenty IMO.

They need to be able to use comms to let bombadier talk to pilot to give instructions, also for agreeing what altitude to maintain.

The Devs stated that multi~control aircraft will never be a Feature in the sim, thus ruling out bombadier taking over controls.

Pilot occupies "virtual" space not physical meaning as the sim sees you in it, I would love to have a "virtual" crew mwmber takeover from a "dead" pilot but the coding dont cater for dual controlability.

You should be able to have a seperate person choose bomber position and yes it is done in another sim an works fine. Pilot uses radio commands to communicate alt., vel. and other info would work just fine.
