I know the game is coded to prevent mach 3 P-11's with 50 forward firing vulcan guns, but why are things like Force feedback coded? We should be able to edit simple files to suit our personal likes. It would have nothing to do with the FM or DM of the planes. The one thing that I would like to edit is the constant thumping of the joystick while on the ground. The other effects are pretty good. I would love to be able to tone the ground effects on the stick down some. Its irritating. Kinda like Chinese water torture.

...and once you have tasted flight, you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward,
for there you have been and there you long to return.

You can modify each of the FFB files (they are not hard coded) using the program Fedit http://yaim.host.sk

I modify them all to my liking, and even mod my spring file as part of the RBJ shift to get around the slow trim in FB, to still be able to do bat-turns at will.

Other people have even been able to fix some of the FFB bugs that the developers choose to ignore.
