Would people (programmers anyway) be interested in my starting a Forum dedicated to discussion of Devicelink? I can do it at the WW website if there is enough interest...

Don't know if there are many enough people who works with devicelink. I guess it would be a very low traffic forum.

On the other hand, it would make the information exchange much easier, since the Qs and As wouldn't drown in "Oleg, give me xxx" and "Oleg, yyy is severly (under|over)modeled" and such like.

Hmm dont see why its needed. But maybe a upgrade to devicelink itself would help it a lot.

-all values used ingame pollable(TAS,air density etc)
-setting more than 1 game controller device with 1 poll.

High Ground is not only more agreeable and salubrious, but more convenient from a military point of view; low ground is not only damp and unhealthy, but also disadvantageous for fighting.

DeviceLink code is hopefully fledgling at this point.
It needs some working-over for sure.

A) A seperate area would at least keep threads from sinking
off the page long enough for better consideration if they
get any. And if it helps to see DeviceLink improved and
expanded then it should be good.

B) Is it some big amount of work or money to add a section?

BTW DeviceLink writers... slightly OT but;

I did notice set commands to widen the view what looked like
up to 90 degrees. If that's wider than in-game possible right
now (IIRC it is) then how about a quick and dirty addon for
zoom control?

A dedicated forum would be great. We could gather idaes, tools make suggestions to improve this basic interface and maybe find an open ear in Oleg's team one day.

There is another thread on it's way talking about a simkit interface and btw. is anybody working with the UDP speed interface and a glas cockpit. The more I think about it, I am sure I would love this devicelink forum ....

it'd be nice if this took off. i'm tired of seeing the MS flight sims at my local air museums in the little motion simulators that they charge you money to fly in. it'd be great if they used IL-2 instead. i'm assuming that this device link stuff is one step closer to this.

I'll talk to Sandy about adding a Forum Max. Shouldn't be difficult. Traffic would be light but info might be easier to track...

Well that's another way to do it and since you started this thread then....??

I wonder how many people here know where you're referring to or who Sandy is?
Hope they can find www.wingwalkers.org/Forum (http://www.wingwalkers.org/Forum)

Sensei, I'll ask admin if we can add a Device Link forum here. We already have a Mission Builder, Skinners and Movie Makers forum, so I don't see why not.

BTW, Wide view is already 90 degree FOV http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif.

If you're interested in a forum here, go to the poll (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=400102&f=23110283&m=115109905) and vote http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
