I was absolutelly thrilled when I saw the trailer, I even choked up a little bit. But then it was said, that the game will be online? What does that mean? Division-like, Destiny-like? MMO? Just a DRM?

If am completely honest I would prefer a complete single-player experience, which is also supposed to be possible, if I heard correctly? But, are you planning on doing raids or something like that, where a group is absolutely needed? Hopefully not, because I don't like playing with strangers, and none of my friends are interested in this title (bunch of idiots :P)

Is anybody else bothered by this online thing? I was already dissapointed in Anthem with its shared-world crap, and now this??

I'm sure you find friends here, in the community, if multiplayer there is ;)

I don't know maybe you will find a German Community. It's too early to say ! :D

As long as you can turn off the online part and turn it on only when you feel like player intruding in your game, i'm fine with the concept.
It was actually pretty fun in watch dogs.

Except if it happens at the worst points and or gets annyoing^^ But yet there were things tied to that to unlock stuff. We should all ensure unlockables are not tied to the Internet.

Michel said that you can totally play the game as a single-player experience. He knows that a lot of players don't like the multiplayer component of games, so both experiences will be enjoyable.

Looks like the multiplayer is completely optional and that we'll be able to play the game solo. Apparently friends will be able to join you for certain events. Here's the interview where Michel Ancel shares a few more details about it: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/151136534?t=28h59m24s.

Well, it's nice to hear it's optional, but still. Multiplayer is also optional in The Division. You can play through the story solo. It's still online though, and when the servers eventually shut down, will the game still be playable? Right now I am playing Red Dead Redemption on PS3, will I be able to play BGE2 after 7 years? I can still play BGE1 after 14 years? Will I be able to play BGE2 after 14 years? I generally don't like online games, if you haven't noticed :D

This game being online hit me harder that the SWTOR mmo did. I found an interview with Ancel (http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2013-07-17-michel-ancel-connect-share-create)
and he says:

"When you play a game you spend your time in it. If there's some persistence, some socialising, you're investing your time in the game," he says. "Persistence and social are there to make sure the player is investing their time, and making their knowledge about the game more valuable... It is interesting to not just reboot everything as the way it was before. Connecting things gives players a more important world."

Basically a multiplayer, mmo, shared-world game :/ Honestly, I tried 3 MMO betas in my life. WOW when I was in college and I deleted it after 4 hours, because I knew I could get sucked into it and not finish school. SWTOR which was nice, and The Secret World. They were nice games, but for me playing mmos is a waste of time. I feel like I have to dedicate waaay too much time into them, I cannot play them whenever I want, but all the time, because things in the game change all the time. I actually don't wanna come back after two months and have everything different, because of this shared, persistent world. I basically avoid such games, but this is BGE2 :(. And they are not giving enough information about this, IMO. Ancel saying that I can play solo is not enough. I want to know if I can still play solo in 20 years. Will the missions be designed as single-player experiences or coop or party? I know I will be able to play Dark Souls, just without people dropping by, killing me :) A changing world to me means, that I am missing stuff, and if wanna keep up, I have to always play this game, even when I don't feel like. It becomes a job and I don't want that.

Does all of this make sense to you, guys?

This game clearly won't be an mmo. Game will allow you to progress with your friends like co-op multiplayer games, but can still be played in singleplayer as you wish. Since we have huge open planet(s) to discover, it could be fun. It has nothing to do with games such as wow... Let's just hope we can play it without an internet connection.

Well, the answer to that would be great. So, dear Ubisoft and Michel, will we be able to play the game, when uplay says "cannot connect to servers"? :)

http://www.vg247.com/2017/06/15/beyond-good-and-evil-2-is-an-ambitious-concept-tempered-by-a-nine-year-****show/

"There will be MMO elements in there, and the worlds and cities dotted around the ‘star system’ the game is apparently set across will be a mix of hand-crafted and procedurally generated. By the sounds of things you’ll be able to hop in a ship and travel to another planet, much like No Man’s Sky, and there will be persistent elements across the system depending on individual player’s actions."

No comparing to NoMansLie.
They actually worked like 3 years to even get to the point where they thought it's possible.
That's a way other dimension and it's only one system. World is hand-crafted and generated by code.

I think they will do well considering that there was so much time that went into just being able to make the game possible.
Since we are in this program we will do our best to make sure the user experience is one of the best.
