View Full Version : Thumb controls/joysticks. What should they be used for??

So far the only thing they're used for is to re-center.

Seems like a waste of a controller feature. What do you think they should/could be used for?

I was thinking steering for helm, but then reconsidered and I believe that would take out some of the immersion.

I would like to be able to look around in external mode. Looking around on the bridge with your headset is one thing, but if you're looking in external view, and want to look behind you, I think the thumb joysticks would be an acceptable option.

I read (on reddit, I think) that as helm, if you use the exterior view, you can use the right thumbstick to continue to steer the ship.
