I was gonna ask this in the IL-2 GD, but I can't open it for some reason.

Is there a command for the host to change the weather in a server? If so, what is it? How do you differentiate the levels of weather?

Thanks for any info.

I'm not sure you can do it "on the fly" (if you'll pardon the pun), but it's really easy to edit weather in the mission file in FMB. Open the mission, select the Edit/Conditions menu option and use the weather drop down menu to select your desired conditions. Options are:

clear

good

hazy

poor

blind

rain/snow

thunder [/list]

Yup. well aware of that, Tully. But I'd like to know if there is a way to do it "on the fly" (that was a terrible pun! lol)

What I'm trying to avoid is having the Ghost Skies members having to download a new mission file just for a weather map. It would be much easier to throw in a command to change weather, just like you can for Time Of Day.

There's no console command for it in the game console, but there may be in the ded server console, it has a few extra. I'd look if I had the ded server installed.

If you have it, type "help" or "?" in console to get a list (without the quote marks).

naw. Ghost Skies is just using the simple DF server from a host. Ded Servers are way too complicated to try to do for a 30-45 minute match.

No in-console command isn't what I wanted to hear, but what I expected.

Thanks Tully
