View Full Version : Loadout gear score calculation

Hi all!

While configuring different loadouts for Shinobi, I noticed the issue described below. The two loadouts consist of identical items, except from Right Head (Weapon 1), which is set as follows in the two loadouts:

1) "Curved Right Head" (Rare - Blue):
Attack: +1.3%
Defence Penetration: +5.5%
Block Damage: +22.0%

2) "Utility Right Head" (Common - Grey):
Attack: 0.0%
Defence Penetration: +7.6%
Block Damage: -20.7%

The respective loadout gear scores are as follows (Attack / Defence):
1) 22 / 12
2) 18 / 12

Since the damage inflicted on an opponent is the sum of attack + defence_penetration, shouldn't loadout 2 have a higher attack score? Or does it depend on the quality of the item (common / rare / heroic / epic)? Does anyone know how the loadout gear score is calculated?

Defense penetration does not add to your attack score in any way.

As I see both Attack and Defense are almost meaningless stats. Unless you can lend all the heaviest slowest attacks in all the encounter which is very unlikely and even that makes a very small difference.

For example if Centurion has 10 dmg on light attack, if he has for example 10% ATK damage increase, he will deal 11 damage. It's a fart in the wind

Defense even worse. since it's even reduced by defense penetration which is picked by EVERYBODY since Block damage is almost nothing and that is on the same part.

The only good stats are stamina cost, stamina regen, exhaustion regen and so on.

After season 2 they rebalance build and stats.

On 1st one are balance.

On 2nd one are one best, second better, and one worst.
