I'm just getting into on-line flying with AEP (And getting killed all the time http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif) and I was wondering which program I should use to find the servers.

Currently I'm using the ubi.com, but I've seen many people mention hyperloby and other programs. So, which program should I use?

Hello!

HyperLobby is the best, and where to find most players and servers.

Get it here: http://hyperfighter.jinak.cz

HyperLobby (link in the post above) is the most popular among forum users here (or so it seems to me http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif).

Also popular to a lesser extent are All Seeing Eye and Gamespy.

A new offering is a messaging client (similar to MSN Messenger, Yahoo instant messenger etc...) called xFire which is useful if you only ever fly online with buddies. It allows you to directly join games in which buddies are already flying without the use of other lobbies. IL2:FB is in the supported game list for this application. Read about it here (http://www.xfire.com/xf/index.php)

yep All Seeing Eye is great to see many other servers.
For now the most Popular is Hyperlobby and ASE but HyperLobby is very inconvenient for servers host. so we use both.

So my choice soon will be to drop HL because it is very mediocre until something is done to it.
If jiri doesn't fix that Hudge problem many pilots will swicth Browser as well.
It's already started anf many are joining by direct ip's.

Today HL crashed again and again and again.

Please Jiri do something.. because right now it's not good.

I started out on ubi but someone rescued me and showed me Hyperlobby. At first i thought HL was rubbish and the people ingorant (boy was i wrong) now i only ever use ubi to chat with some friends i left behind.
HL is more stable, user friendly and less problematic than ubi.
I rest my case http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Hyperlobby is by far the best online server browser for sim players, Xfire is also a handy tool for players to find friends quickly and easily online.

HL for IL2 but ASE for everything else (and some IL2 servers).

I tried Xfire as well but didn't really like it to much.
