After the clock struck twelve and the cheers died down, i sat down and started to do more work with the D'ni language. Eventually i got very tired and bored wondering what sort of thing i might use it for. i went to bed.

In the morning... INSPIRATION! poetry, at first i thought sonett. but that seemed a bit tough, finding rhyming words in a language with limted *known* vocabulary proved difficult. Then i decided to start simple... i wrote a haiku.
unfortunately i had to leave for work and didn't have time to post it.

Just wanted to throw this idea out there. When i get home tonight i'll put up a link for it.

That's very cool!! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif You're one syllable short on your last line to be a traditional haiku, but the rules have loosened significantly with modern poets, so this qualifies in my book!

If I may attempt a translation?

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>
Relto

The water is flowing,
Peaceful; it is sleeping;
I require a beginning.<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Is this somewhat close? It's tough to know without any D'ni punctuation, other than the begin-sentence mark...

goog job domahreh, that's exactly what it says.

although i made a minor 'mistake' i meant the second line to translate to 'it is sleeping peacefully'. i guess the word should have been shorahetsesh. but what's there is good.

anyway... i just got my e-mail from zandi. later.
