I've thoroughly exhausted myself playes ACES today and I still haven't tried everything.
It is brilliant. I love the cockpits of the twin engined beasts. So complex.

I notice the P39s and P40s are still wonder weapons though http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif considering they were supposed to be crap. AI gunners seem worse, and whats with the reduced effectiveness of the MG151 20mm? Its good against bombers still but it can't kill fighters anymore. Strange.

I love the bonus jet. I love the cannon on the Me262A1a/U4. Nobody even said we were getting it. The FW200 is beautiful too.

Spinning Komet (in real life they COULDN'T spin!) and engine not working on the ground is a serious cop-out though. Whoever worked on that Komet will surely be hiding somewhere from the rest of the team. The other new planes though... brilliantly modelled.

Lucky you! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif

Can't comment much at the moment really as I don't have my copy of AEP yet http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif Although hopefully this situation will be rectified by monday at the latest http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif All I was going to say, as I have just posted in another thread, is that AFAIK the non ground-start for the 163 is a known issue and is supposedly being fixed for the forthcoming patch as for it not being able to spin in real life, I don't know...

14 hours straight ? I hope not otherwise man you must be http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/53.gif hehe http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Although I do agree, once you get into FB/AEP it is VERY easy to lose all track of time! Been there Done that! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Have fun

cheers

Glad you're enjoying the game, great isn't it?
BTW, the Curtis P-40 was never crap. It was in fact one of the great combat aircraft of WWII.
(Could outturn and outmaneuver a P-51 below 10,000ft. That usually gets peoples attention). http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif
It's true!

S!
