I love all the maps. Actually, I am quite satisfied with this whole sim. With BOB eventually coming out I began to think about what this new sim will look like.

When I think about BoB I wonder just how they are going to do it. Are they going to create a whole new map that spans Britain and France?

Will all these maps that we currently enjoy be conneced into one pan-European map?

Without knowing exactly how they plan to do this, we can only guess how the maps will be designed but just in case the Oleg team needs some ideas, here is one.

If the Oleg isn't going to create one large map that contains all of Europes cities and objects, perhaps the current maps could be connected through objectless corridors.

Basically, this idea is a compromise but when you're flying at high altitude, you don't neccessarily need all the details until you get down low.

For me, I'd just like to see all these maps connected somehow so that one could fly from area to area.

SOAR terrain rendering will allow for VERY large maps with fantastic detail.

Hopefully, Oleg is already aware of this new technology and is planning to implement it.

In my opinion. This game, and all sims made by Oleg are better than the CFS series....and the CFS series had an all encompassing map in CFS3. I don't doubt that Oleg and the dev team can make one large map. One large map would be the best way to go, because for the people that don't want to navigate a large area small areas can still be used, but the size is there for the people who want the realism of flying long distances.
